  1. Hello thank you for a very informative video. I did all as you instructed and it all works great. However, now I need to be able to have a function telling me a percentage of how many boxes I have checked vs not. I have spent two days looking all over YouTube but to no avail I have not been able to find anything that can help. I seen on one of the comments here that you suggested using the SUMMIF value, can you expand on that. That might be what I'm looking for. thank you.

  2. Thanx! But I have a question. I have several columns, and each column is a checklist of it's own. But then if I check the boxes in the second column, all the cells on the same row color at the same time. But I make each list as in the video.. Can you help me with this? I hope to hear from you!

  3. Hi computergaga, I am having trouble with the conditional formatting part. Unless I type True in column A ….the check box and column next to it does not change the color. This is so frustrating.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Need help!!!!

  4. This is an interesting use of conditional formatting; it
    only works when the sheet is unprotected how can I get it to work when I protect
    sheet. Please send link on this topic if there are any

    Thanks, keep these tutorials going

  5. Hello ! Nice video ! Can you advice me please ? I want to make checkbox that will be able to check all other checkboxes. And at the same time i want to tick those checkboxes individually. For better understanding i give screenshot. https://prnt.sc/qq900z . I made 1st part work but i cant tick those boxes induvidually now. Do you think this problem got a solution ?

  6. When i insert the check box i then cant adjust the size of the box or text by dragging the corner as expected, even when i adjust the cell size the check box and text remain very small. Can you advise?

  7. This is how you can create check boxes and assign them to their respective cells automatically:

    Sub AddCheckBoxes()

    Dim cb As CheckBox

    Dim myRange As Range, cel As Range

    Dim wks As Worksheet

    Set wks = Sheets("mySheet") 'adjust sheet to your needs

    Set myRange = wks.Range("A1:A10") ' adjust range to your needs

    For Each cel In myRange

    Set cb = wks.CheckBoxes.Add(cel.Left, cel.Top, 30, 6) 'you can adjust left, top, height, width to your needs

    With cb

    .Caption = ""

    .LinkedCell = cel.Address

    End With

    Next

    End Sub

  8. Annoying, the check box does NOT tick when you click on it in Excel 2013. Why is that?

    I don't have to hold down Ctrl then click. I can NOT make the tick appear, the check box doesn't work.

  9. Hello! Thanks for an excellent video. I have already seen the one about the macro to establish the links. Would it be possible a macho to create automatically a lot of checkboxes? I need around 400, let's say 4 columns x 100 rows…
    If not, is there any tool to align or distribute equally the checkboxes as can be done with objects in an image? That would help…
    All the best
